PXG Assembly Process
We will introduce you to the meticulous process that goes into completing a golf club.
High quality made by careful handiwork
After you place your order, the specifications of your custom club, determined through a tour-level fitting, are passed on to a PXG Master Builder (a skilled assembler). The PXG Master Builder painstakingly and precisely assembles the club head, shaft, grip, swing weight, loft angle, lie angle, length, etc. to ensure they are exactly as ordered, with minimal tolerance.
Once assembly is complete, a thorough inspection is performed and then the club is packed into a PXG black box and prepared for shipping.
Step 1: Order acceptance and parts confirmation
We pick, inspect and clean the parts as ordered. The build team receives the order and parts and assembles the clubs by hand.
Step 2: Shaft Machining
The shaft, which is pre-made to a length, is then cut to the specifications determined during the fitting.
Step 3: Hammering in the ferrule
Drive the ferrule into the shaft to the specified depth.
Step 4: Swing weight and length measurement
We use the same swing weight measuring machine used by our fitters to adjust the balance to your specifications and ensure the club length is exactly as you ordered.
Step 5: Adhesion
Using a two-part adhesive, the head is glued so that the logo on the shaft matches the club face.
Step 6: Torque Inspection
The strength of the glued clubs is inspected.
Step 7: Loft and lie angle adjustment
We will adjust the loft and lie angle according to your order.
Step 8: Shaving the ferrule
Shave the ferrule so that the seam between the ferrule and the head is flat.
Step 9: Grip Insertion
Insert the grip so that the logo on the grip matches the club face.
Step 10: Final swing weight measurement & cleaning
We check the swing weight again using a measuring device to confirm the finish. Once all steps are completed, we check the order form one last time to make sure the club is assembled correctly and according to the order. We carefully polish and clean the club and collect the attached head cover, products, and other necessary items.
Step 11: Shipping
It will be carefully packed and shipped in a luxurious black PXG box.
